I discovered biracial dolls when I was doing some research for my application to SwirlCamp! which is a program run by Swirl. Swirl is a "national multi-ethnic organization that challenges society’s notions of race through community building, education, and action."
I am very tempted to buy my future, as yet not conceived children a "Willough" doll, a half-Hispanic, half-Caucasian doll advertised on RealKidz. But it may be more practical to buy "Remsen," the African-American/Asian doll for my new baby cousin. Her mother is Filipino and her father is a dark-skinned Dominican.
